Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a newly /recently qualified mental health nurse/social worker to join our specialist service for people experiencing a first episode of Psychosis.
This is a development role whereby the successful applicant will receive a period of preceptorship and support to develop knowledge and skills to transition into a band 6 role within 12-18 months. This will be dependent on a successful probationary period.
Bolton early intervention service is a sought after multi disciplinary service with highly skilled practitioners who are dedicated and competent to meet your development needs.

Main duties of the job
Reduce the stigma associated with psychosis.Improve professional and lay awareness of the symptoms of psychosis and the need for early assessment.Reduce the length of time young people remain undiagnosed and untreated.Develop meaningful engagement, provide evidence based interventions and promote recovery during the early stage of illness.Increase stability in the lives of service users, facilitate development and personal fulfilment.Provide a user-led service, i.e. a seamless service available for those from age 14 to 65 years (on acceptance) that effectively integrates child, adolescent and adult mental health services and works in partnership with primary care, education, social services, youth and other services.
