Job summary

This newly developed Deputy Team Manager (Band 6) post is within the Specialist Community Mental Health Team based in Wigan (based at Claire House) will support the SCMHT team covering Wigan and Leigh sites.

The post holder will support the Clinical Team Managers to provide line management supervision and wellbeing support to the staff working for the SCMHT. Whilst leadership and management experience would be beneficial, this is not essential as we will provide full training and an induction programme to support you in this role. We are looking for someone who is organised, motivated and can support, lead and co-ordinate clinical services, alongside the clinical leadership team.

The post is for 37.5 hours per week. Flexible working can be supported and shift patterns can be discussed on successful appointment into this post.

The post holder will be expected to assist the Team Manager in providing effective leadership to the team; deputise for the Clinical Team Manager as required; undertake delegated responsibilities as agreed with Clinical Team Manager; assist in the management and co-ordination of all services delivered to the service user within the clinical area, optimising all available resources and assist the team manager in the implementation, monitoring and updating of an operational policy and philosophy for the clinical area.
