Main duties of the job

The Trust is seeking a specialty doctor in general adult inpatient psychiatry to join the inpatient team based at the Rivington Unit, Royal Bolton Hospital. This vacancy is an existing post which has arisen after the previous post holder moved to another post.

The post holder will work closely with the Consultant and other team colleagues in the Inpatient Service to develop a high quality, responsive, flexible and integrated service meeting the needs of its client group.

The doctor will formulate management plans in complex cases, advising the inpatient MDT and wider divisional teams on appropriate integrated care.

The doctor will take a proactive role in identifying risk and acting on the results to resolve problems at source wherever possible bearing in mind resources and priorities and liaising with line management.
