Job summary

GMMH are seeking to appoint a clinician to lead the development of the trust plans to be more trauma informed and trauma responsive. This is an opportunity for an experienced and skilled clinician to become involved in the strategic planning of the organisation, influencing the future direction. A key objective of the Trauma Informed Care work will be to research trauma informed care principles and set out a plan for the trust to deliver systems change across the organisation.

Main duties of the job

The role will support staff across the trust to implement Trauma informed and responsive approaches. The role will involve advising on TIC best practice, TIC communication across the trust, co-ordinating TIC action group meetings, and supporting services to change practice, using Quality Improvement methodology.

The successful candidate will ensure that the lived experience of people using GMMH services is embedded into the trusts TIC work. The post holder should have significant clinical experience of working with people who have experienced trauma, a strong ethos of partnership working and an understanding of working within a multiagency system. They will also be required to liaise and work with Trust Executives, NHS England team, and the GM TIC partnership group.
