Job summary

The Homeless Hub within GMMH are excited to offer a 12 month contract for a newly created post of Research Assistant to work alongside the Manchester Mental Health and Homeless Team (MMHHT)

The MMHHT supports homeless individuals within the city of Manchester. The team is currently expanding the service offer to our clients and implementing a 'critical time intervention' (CTI) model of care. CTI is a time-limited evidence-based practice that mobilizes support for society's most vulnerable individuals during periods of transition. It facilitates community integration and continuity of care by ensuring that a person has enduring ties to their community and support systems during these critical periods. CTI has been applied with veterans, people with mental illness, people who have been homeless or in prison.

It is hoped that the expansion of the team with the implementation of this model will help support more complex vulnerable people within the city of Manchester. The research assistant will be a key component for this transition carrying out research into this area to help support the changes and evaluating the service that we provide ensuring that we are supporting people in the most appropriate effective way.

The post will be based within the MMHHT but will also have managerial support from the Research and Innovation team.
