Job summary

To support the Medical PA in providing a comprehensive administrative service to the medical teams within the Rehab division.

The Medical Support Secretary will undertake general office duties including the typing of medical and other correspondence, actioning any requirements identified within the typing. They will answer and manage calls from patients and their carers / relatives and other health and social care professionals.

Our service provides individualised care and treatment for peoplewith enduring mental health needs. A wide range of treatment is available including psychological and other therapeuticinterventions and our clinical teams work collaboratively with the service user towards their recovery and discharge. clinical teams include a consultant psychiatrist, nurses, psychologists, occupational therapists and social workers.

Main duties of the job

We are looking to recruit a Medical Support Secretary to provide a comprehensive and confidential secretarial support service based at Braeburn House in Salford.

You will need the ability to communicate with individuals at all levels and be able to deal with people effectively in a sympathetic manner.

The post holder will work as a member of the Medical Secretarial and wider administration team within the division. You will be responsible for providing a comprehensive, organised and efficient secretarial service to support the Rehab division and have the ability to prioritise requests and deal with conflicting demands and to meet tight deadlines.Applicants must be reliable and have excellent audio typing, inter-personal and organisational skills.
