What is Adult Forensic Care Group? - Our services support those and provide treatment, rehabilitation and aftercare for people who have serious mental illness with a moderate risk to themselves or others, meaning they require a more secure environment. This could be a medium or low secure setting with our wards specialising in each part of a service users' recovery and aims to prepare them for life in the community.
Medium Secure: -Comprises of male and female wards. They provide individualised care, a whole range of treatment including: -psychology and therapeutic interventions and our clinical teams work collaboratively with service users towards their recovery and discharge. The clinical teams include consultant psychiatrists, nurses, psychologists, advanced practitioners, occupational therapists, social workers, nurses, and support workers.
Low Secure: -Comprises of two, 15 bed male wards who provide intensive rehabilitation for people with enduring mental health needs and who cannot be safely treated in an open inpatient recovery unit. Service users have a wide range of activities to support their recovery and our facilities include a fully equipped gym, a large sports hall, workshop, and classroom environments. Support is available to acquire skills for voluntary and paid opportunities and are supported to access facilities within the wider community.
