An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for Achieve TRS.
We are seeking 2 Non-Medical Prescriber with a passion for working with service users within the Drug and Alcohol field to join the clinical team within Achieve. One based in Salford and the other Trafford.
Applicants will be required to work across the BBST footprint.
If you enjoy working in a busy prescribing team, with service users on an individual basis, assisting them to move forward to achieve their goals this post is will offer you the chance to develop your skills as a prescriber and offer you further career development.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for assessment and implementation of substitute prescribed treatment for opiate addiction, alcohol and opiate detoxification, relapse prevention medications. There will also be a requirement to offer interventions with regards to Blood Bourne Virus testing and immunisations.
Excellent communication skills are essential as you will be liaising with staff at all levels, as well as members of the public and external organisations.

To undertake needs led assessments of people with substance misuse problems, assessing the physical and psychological needs of service users from a nursing bias
To assess and manage risk, working with service users, their families, and other agencies where appropriate, to minimise risk and encourage those affected to adopt safer practices and live healthier lifestyles.
