Job summary

This is an exciting time to join the Business Intelligence Team at the beginning of our trust-wide roll out of Power BI.

This will give the post holder the opportunity to make their mark and drive forward improvements throughout the organisation.

This role will be responsible for the design, development and delivery of high-quality Power BI Dashboards across the organisation.

They will effectively manage and prioritise data visualisation demand across the organisation and will demonstrate excellent communication skills, working with directors, senior managers and clinicians across the Trust/across organisational boundaries.

The post holder will work closely with the Data Warehouse Team, Data Insight Strategic Lead, Performance Lead and operational/corporate services to ensure robust and successful visual outputs for decision making and service improvements.

This role will also be responsible for the development, implementation and management of processes and procedures relating to Power BI including templates, development cycle, change control and testing. They will provide expert advice and guidance to users/support to the analyst team and wider stakeholders in the development of data visualisations that reflect the needs of the services and inform decision making. The post holder will act as a key BI point of contact for operational services and colleagues across corporate services.

Main duties of the job

  • Create a trustwide data visualisation transformation roadmap across operational and corporate services, getting buy in and support from senior leaders to improve trustwide data maturity
  • Lead on the development of range of intuitive, reporting, analysis, and dashboarding for all levels of the Trust including clinicians, service managers, and directors via Power BI
  • Actively explore advances in visualisation and reporting technologies appropriate to the organisation
  • Ensure robust procedures are in place for validating all data and information reported

  • Experience of managing and developing a power BI platform environment
  • Significant experience of producing reports and dashboards via a data visualisation tool such as Tableau or Microsoft Power BI
  • Experience of working within an agile environment
  • Experience of creating/supporting a data literate workforce in a large and complex organisation

Desirable

  • Experience of utilising Power Apps, Power Automate and Power Query to support automation
