Job summary
This is a new post provide our newly recruited HCSW with additional pastoral support and training so that are prepared for their role, have a positive experience of settling into their new clinical environment, feel welcomed, and supported, engaged with their team and our Trust vision and values.
These individuals play an essential role providing people with some of the most personal and fundamental support and are a significant part of the workforce in the services we provider. It is crucial they are valued, supported and trained to do their important job well.
By supporting this group to demonstrate key skills, knowledge, values and behaviours, enabling them to provide people with safe, effective, compassionate, high-quality care, this will be the starting point for many individuals to progress within the Trust, supported by other internal/external training, development, apprenticeships and continuing professional Development.
This opportunity will help create the culture for this vital workforce to build their future with us through our career development pathway.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will support HCSWs (within a defined Care Group) with their development, including the completion of the Care Certificate, the Trusts Core Mental Health Skills programme. The post holder will also provide pastoral support to this workforce including advice, guidance and signposting.
