An opportunity has arisen for a full time, highly motivated band 3 Team Administrator, to provide a comprehensive and efficient administration service to the Mental Health Treatment Requirement team (MHTR). The MHTR service is a community ordered sentence which allows service users to access psychological interventions in the community.
This role is a newly created post for an exciting pilot scheme based in Manchester. We require a highly motivated, dynamic individual with excellent communication and organisational skills, who has an interest and positive attitude to working within the Health and Justice setting.
Experience of working within a mental health setting would be desirable.
Applicants must demonstrate secretarial experience and have an organised and flexible approach, with the ability to prioritise your workload and relate to all types of people. Your excellent IT and interpersonal skills will also ensure that you'll have no trouble fitting into this busy, interesting role.
Main duties of the job
- To provide a full range of secretarial duties across the Community Health and Justice Teams, including utilising Paris, Microsoft Office software packages, digital dictation, copy typing, filing and photo-copying maintaining confidentiality at all times
- Organise and maintain electronic diaries and arrange meetings and appointments as necessary, ensuring preparation and circulation of papers and reports as required.
- To create and update electronic patient records within Paris from referral to discharge.
- Create appointment confirmation and standard letters within Paris and ensure these are forwarded in timely manner to facilitate attendance by service users.
- To be responsible for production and circulation of minutes and action plans for all associated multi-disciplinary team meetings as required.
- Responsible for ensuring effective filing arrangements, photocopying and other ad-hoc administrative requirements as requested.
- To utilise initiative to suggest and implement new ways of working to improve current systems.
About us
Health and Justice Community Services include a variety of mental health services that provide care across a number of different criminal justice settings. GMMH provides Community Mental Health services in Trafford, Salford, Bolton and Manchester. There is a resident mental health team based at St Joseph's Approved Premises in Eccles and two Street Triage Projects in Salford and Trafford. There is also a case management service in Manchester called MO:DEL (Manchester Offenders: Diversion Engagement Liaison).
