An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic psychologist or psychological therapist to work within the complex mental health rehabilitation pathway for adult service users in Salford and the wider Greater Manchester area.
You will be joining at an exciting time. Your post will involve working both in an established inpatient ward (Copeland) but also supporting service users as they progress to the community, as part of the new community rehabilitation team. Main duties of the job
You will be involved with psychological input in all aspects of patient care, including assessments, formulations and interventions (individual and group). An ability to work creatively and flexibly with hard-to-engage service users will be an essential aspect of the job. Your work will be trauma informed, and might include the use of models such as CBT, CAT, Schema, Compassion Focussed Therapy, or other evidence-based approaches.
The role will also involve advising staff, facilitating reflective practice, work with carers, and collaboration and consultation with other members of the multi-disciplinary team. Youwill also be required toprovide supervision to an assistant psychologist and other team members.
