Job Summary

We are looking for two motivated and enthusiastic assistant psychologists, who are passionate about working with people who have an eating disorder, and want to help us make a difference to the people of Greater Manchester. These are new and exciting roles within our teams, and are part of a further expansion across both services, as part of NHS community transformation plans.

There are two posts available:

- A full-time Band 5 assistant psychologist, based at The Willows Eating Disorders Service

- A part-time (30 hours per week) band 5 assistant psychologist, based at The Manchester Eating Disorders Service

These roles will form an integral part of our multi-disciplinary teams, and will include providing individual and group clinical interventions. As part of this, the role will include supporting the delivery of our FREED early intervention pathway, co-facilitating psychological therapy groups, the delivery of brief manualised psychological interventions for people who have eating disorders, and supporting coordination and input of data collection across the service.

Experience in working work people who experience eating disorders is desirable, but not essential, and training and support will be provided. Successful candidates will be supervised by clinical psychologists.
