Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated senior clinical pharmacist to work in a newcommunity mental health service in Wigan called Living Well (LW). The Living Well Service willenable timely access to mental health services when people need it most and provide supportfor people who might not traditionally meet the threshold or criteria of existing mental healthservices. The team will be multidisciplinary and will include third sector organizations. We willalso be supporting several peer mentor roles within the team.
The Wigan Living Well Service will be compassionately led, trauma informed, and recoveryfocused. Living Well has co-produced key values and principles that all staff and peers share.As a result, our model is humanistic and person-centred. Our core values are based oncreating open, honest, safe spaces and conversations where all people's strengths are valued.
There will be an expectation to participate in an on-call rota which will include occasional overnight and/or weekend working.
Main duties of the job
In this role you will ensure safe and effective prescribing of medication that is in line with the Trust formulary. Carry out medication reviews for people presenting in Living Well and to prescribe/deprescribe as appropriate to ensure that treatment is optimised. Promote further development of the clinical pharmacist's role within the Trust. Provide supervision and support to other non-medical prescribers in the Team. You will also undertake initial conversation /assessments of people as part of the LW duty system in accordance with agreed operational procedures.
You will be supported by members of the leadership team including a team leader, operationalprogramme manager and clinical lead. CPD opportunities are available and personalinterests/skills will be supported to develop and grow.
