Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Central Manchester Mental Health Liaison Team , based at Manchester Royal Infirmary as Team Manager.

In this position you will play a key role in development of the service working closely with the Clinical Leads and the Senior Leadership Team to implement and maintain a high quality service model.

The post holder will demonstrate an attitude which respects and values service users' choice and works alongside them and their carers to ensure they are at the centre of care planning.

Main duties of the job

The role will include:

  • Lead the development of the Service and ensure a high level of operational leadership to staff within the Service. This will include supporting the staff and service in the preparation and achievement of PLAN accreditation during 2023.
  • Take an active role in education in line with key performance indicators.
  • Develop and maintain partnership working with the host acute trust as well as a wide range of statutory and voluntary agencies.

The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills where they can work effectively with multi-disciplinary teams and professionals from similar backgrounds as well as clients and their families / carers. They should be able to work independently as well as part of a closely supported team and have the ability to prioritise their work load effectively.
