Main duties of the job
Working within the pharmacy team, we will offer you support to develop your expertise and skills through formal & informal training courses, regular supervision and appraisals. Our team has a wealth of clinical knowledge in a wide range of clinical specialties with a strong team of senior pharmacists. We have excellent links with local universities, as well as a variety of clinical national networks.
This post offers the opportunity to develop your skills and experience in all areas of mental health.
This rotational post will allow the successful candidate to experience the different sub-specialities of mental health including addictions, forensic mental health, children and adolescent mental health services, as well as general adult and old age.
Support will be given to candidates to undertake a postgraduate clinical pharmacy qualification.
You will need a passion for mental health pharmacy, with an enthusiasm for learning and personal development and a keen desire to contribute to patient focused care.

Greater Manchester Mental Health (GMMH) Foundation Trust employs over6,400members of staff, who deliver services from more than160locations.
We provide inpatient and community-based mental health care for people living in Bolton, the city of Manchester, Salford, Trafford and the borough of Wigan, and a wide range of specialist mental health and substance misuse services across Greater Manchester, the north west of England and beyond as well as prison pharmacy services to a number of prisons throughout the North West.
The main site is at Prestwich Hospital where the specialist services are based and satellite pharmacies operate elsewhere within the Trust. We issue over 120,000 items a year, at a value of in excess of £2 million from the department. You will be an integral member of the Pharmacy Team, supported by colleagues leading inpatient, Forensic, Adolescent, Drug & Alcohol and Later Life pharmacy services.
