The team consist of experienced multi disciplinary colleagues, including Psychiatrists, SNP`s, O/T`s and Psychologists, all working to a Recovery based approach. You will have ongoing supervision, with opportunities to develop via relevant training, appropriate to this role.
The role within the team will allow you to develop skills in both assessment and risk management, allowing you to deliver care in a variety of settings including outpatient clinics and community environments.

Main duties of the job
The Recovery Wigan North Team provides care, treatment and support to adults with significant mental health needs in the borough of Wigan and Leigh. You will be required to have experience of working in a similar setting and role. You will undertake the duties of care coordinator, managing a caseload of service users, with complex mental health needs, under the CPA framework.
You would also be involved in managing duty call from adult service users with severe and enduring mental illness, predominantly who are open to the team on Non CPA offering advice and support.
The service operates between 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday, but some flexibility will be required to cover weekend clinics as will the ability to travel within the area. Applications are welcome from candidates who are looking for part and full-time work.

Undertake formal mental health and social care assessments of new clients within own caseload.

Provide Specialist Mental Health Assessments, Continuing care Assessments and advise management plans as requested e.g. from Local Authority Social Workers, Medical, Nursing or Social Workers from Hospitals Trusts, and nurses from the CCG.
To promote positive mental health and physical care to clients in all situations.
