Job summary
The Salford Early Intervention Team provides multidisciplinary care for people who are experiencing a first episode of psychosis (as identified using structured assessment i.e. the Positive and Negative Syndrome scale).
The main part of the role will involve supporting the team with the delivery of psychosocial interventions and behavioural family therapy.

The successful person will be required to undertake a range of activities under the guidance and supervision of a qualified clinical psychologist. As the job involves working with clients in a specialist context, essential requirements for the post include: experience of working with people with complex mental health difficulties; a degree in psychology; a high level of communication skills; a good level of ability to engage hard-to-reach people; a capacity to work flexibly and productively in demanding environments; and an ability to accept and use supervision appropriately. Desirable qualities include previous experience of working within a multidisciplinary team environment.
