Job summary

The Medical Workforce Team of the People & Culture Directorate are looking for a highly motivated Systems Adviser to join our busy but supportive team.

This role provides a fantastic opportunity for HR/People professionals or a data analyst to develop knowledge of medical staffing on a fixed term or secondment basis.

Main duties of the job

As a member of our team, you will utilise various medical workforce systems to ensure staff data is accurate and provide reports to support effective management decision making and workforce planning.

The role will involve you in operating the following workforce systems:

  • Electronic Staff Record (ESR)
  • TRAC - recruitment software
  • 247 Staff Direct - Direct Engagement software
  • Trainee Information System (TIS)
  • HealthRoster - e-rostering software

Relevant experience in the use of rota software for planning, scheduling and maintaining staff rosters is essential. Experience and knowledge of other systems listed above would be an advantage.

Through a consultancy style of working, with both the medical workforce team and with service managers / clinical directors, you will provide advice and respond to requests and queries about medical workforce data.

  • Experience in support and providing training to end users of workforce systems
  • Experience in applying analytical skills to specific business / service issues
  • Good knowledge of reporting and analysis tools and techniques
  • Experience in processing sensitive and complex confidential data
