Job summary
Are you looking for a new role as a qualified Clinical Associate in Psychology and have a dedication to offering services for children and young people?
As a qualified Clinical Associate in Psychology, you would be working alongside the Solar Crisis and M-Power team lead to be responsible for the provision and evaluation psychological input in our Crisis and M-Power team in Solar (the emotional wellbeing and mental health services for 0-19 year olds in Solihull).
The Solar Crisis and M-Power team provides assessment and brief intervention to children and young people who are experiencing a crisis in their mental health and require urgent assessment and support.
The Solar Crisis and M Power team is situated within the wider emotional wellbeing and CAMHS team at Solar, which is a partnership between Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust, Barnardos and Autism West Midlands, at the Bishop Wilson Clinic in Chelmsley Wood.

Main duties of the job
This role will work with the team to provide psychological assessment and brief intervention as appropriate within the Solar Crisis and M-Power team and to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary and managerial colleagues to achieve effective, evidence based psychological service provision to people accessing Solar, ensuring that services provided are high quality, cost-effective, culturally appropriate and based on best clinical and professional practice and meet Trust and Service objectives, national strategic and policy guidelines, commissioner requirements and user and carer needs and expectations. Direct/indirect clinical work will also form part of the role where appropriate.
