Job summary

Working predominantly at the Barberry Centre, at Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (BSMHFT), the post-holder will form part of a small project group within the R&D Department. The main aims of this group are to deliver the objectives of the Mental Health Mission's Midlands Translational Research Centre of Excellence to enhance the offer of research to service users across the region. This will include but is not limited to, the development of a clinical research facility, creating research ready clinics and to support the implementation of a digital platform for stratified recruitment to clinical trials and standardised clinical endpoints. The post holder will be experienced in managing projects within the NHS and will ideally have worked in a similar environment.

Main duties of the job

Job Summary:

The Project Manager has delegated responsibility for planning, managing and coordinating projects to deliver the objectives of the Mental Health Missions Midlands Translational Centre as agreed with the Senior R&D Programme and Operations Manager. He/she will actively participate in all aspects of procurement and implementation of systems or services as dictated by the requirements of individual projects.
