Job summary

We have an exciting secondment opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to join our North Adult Acute In-patient management team as a Clinical Quality Assurance Manager for 12 months. You will provide robust, consistent, practical and evidence-based day-to-day clinical and operational leadership and management support on George Ward and Eden Acute Ward. You will be expected to work Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm. However, you may be required to do some nights and weekends to give you greater insights into the clinical and operational challenges across the North Inpatient Wards.

You will need to have a proven track record of being a leader and manager at Band 7 or 8a.

We are looking for an individual who will support the ongoing development of the service. You will have knowledge and interest in quality and governance, demonstrating an innovative and dynamic approach to ensuring the delivery of high-quality, holistic, patient-centred care in a challenging and fast paced environment.

You will be expected to work alongside the Matron and CNM and the rest of the multi-disciplinary team to participate in service improvements and evaluation, clinically and operationally supporting the ward managers and wider team to deliver the enhanced monitoring implementation framework.

Main duties of the job

To ensure there are effective systems that supports the provision of high-quality care and treatment to all patients.

Foster a learning care environment that teaches, develops, and supports staff to fulfil their role requirements.

To manage and organise work as required and support managers to effectively deliver the enhanced monitoring implementation plan.

Take responsibility for the development and delivery of evidence-based practice for service users with complex needs, ensuring that it supports and reflects service user individual needs, Trust objectives and professional guidance.

Lead on creating an environment that promotes critical reflection to improve care outcomes utilising evidence-based practice and embedding QI.

Develop ways in which to receive service user and partner feedback and adapt service provision accordingly.

Ensure that high quality care provision with highly complex service users and groups is provided.

Ensure that the ward functions as an integral part of the Directorate's services.

Effective communication with all relevant personnel both internal and external to the Trust.

To practice within professional guidelines and promote professional practice in clinical area.

To ensure continuous personal development through the utilisation of regular supervision, annual appraisal and training where appropriate.

Maintain quality care provision within the service budget including rota management.
