Job summary

PART TIME POSTION- 18.75 HOURS

Mary Seacole Ward 2 is a 14 bedded female acute inpatient unit. It supports women within Birmingham with mental illness. Service users often have complex physical health problems.

The role will involve working closely within a clinical team within the hospital, in order to gain a understanding of the clients and promote the concept of recovery, enhance the service users potential and recognise their well-being needs.

Main duties of the job

Successful candidates will have the ability to contribute to and follow a prescribed plan of care in relation to and individual's presenting need including their physical health, discharge pathway and contributing to MDT discussions.

The successful candidates will be highly motivated, with demonstrable experience in mental health care. In return we offer highly supportive and cohesive multi-disciplinary teams with a range of senior professionals to ensure you are well supported and integrated into your role. You will be required to work across a 24/7 shift pattern.

Informal visits are encouraged.

You will have completed the University-affiliated program of preparation and have a professional identification number with the NMC.
