Job summary

To supervise the Reception and Switchboard operation at Highcroft site and ensure effective operation of these functions and provision of the services.

Main duties of the job

To ensure that the Reception and Switchboard staff and services are effectively supervised.

  • To ensure the required staffing cover for the Reception and Switchboard Services is maintained at all times.
  • To ensure that all Reception and Switchboard procedures relating to the Services are implemented and adhered to by the Reception and Switchboard staff at all times.

(The Reception Services are for the Highcroft Site and the Switchboard Services are for the 'north' of the Trust and both operate from 07.30 to 22.00 hours, 7 days a week.

  • Level 2 Business Administration Qualification e.g. NVQ 2 or RSA 2 in relevant administrative subject, i.e. Text Processing / Work Processing or equivalent. Proficient in operating a Switchboard (GPT ISDX Screen based operators console) Previous Experience in Receptionist or Switchboard operator roles.
  • Knowledge of computer software programmes i.e. Microsoft Office software packages: Word/Excel/Outlook. Experience of working with the general public in both an administrative and customer facing role. Experience of previous line management.Knowledge of computer software programmes i.e. Microsoft Office software packages: Word/Excel/Outlook. Experience of working with the general public in both an administrative and customer facing role. Experience of previous line management.
