Job summary
We have an exciting and rare opportunity for a experienced mental health clinician to work within the Adult ADHD Service, covering Birmingham and Solihull. The role involves undertaking comprehensive assessments for individuals suspected of having ADHD, formulating the assessment and presenting your findings at the weekly multi-disciplinary team meeting to determine if the criteria for diagnosis has been met, and what the most appropriate pathway would be. This is a great opportunity to obtain specialist knowledge and develop your skills in a rapidly growing clinical area. The successful candidate will be fully supported whilst learning about ADHD and they will also receive accredited training in the assessment and diagnosis of Adult ADHD.
Main duties of the job
The main duties of the job are to undertake assessments for those who are suspected of having ADHD, feedback to the MDT the assessment with formulation of assessment and collateral information, feedback to service user the outcome of the assessment and liaise with carers / family members / other professional, where appropriate.
In addition, there is ongoing opportunity for development within the team that could include, but is not limited to, undertaking physical health assessments, supporting in the running of reasonable adjustments clinics, direct liaison with our GP providers to support them in the management of referrals, and the delivery of training to both internal and external partners.
