Job summary

To support the Deputy Business and Finance Manager in providing a comprehensive, customer focused, financial management service to a strategic clinical Division or corporate departments within the Trust. By ensuring relevant financial data is provided to team managers for the purpose of budgetary control. To also assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets for their areas, and ensuring that robust financial management is maintained in the Trust.

Main duties of the job

  • To support the Deputy Finance and Business Manager in the annual budget setting process
  • To support the Deputy Finance and Business Manager in the monthly Budget Monitoring and Control process
  • To support the Finance and Business Manager and Deputy in providing a business support service to the Division
  • To support the development of junior staff
  • To be an active member of the Finance Directorate contributing to its development
