Job summary

We, at BSMHFT are looking to recruit a Clinical Effectiveness Apprentice for an established and supportive team who oversee the Clinical Effectiveness agenda within a Mental Health NHS trust. You will be responsible for supporting the team with administration tasks related to NICE (National Institute for Health and Care Excellence) guidelines, and Clinical Audit. You will also have the chance to learn about the trusts NICE guidelines review and compliance process, and then supporting coordination of NICE reviews, and support with data entry for NICE and Clinical Audit.

We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, has knowledge of Microsoft office packages, a good communicator, and someone who has commitment and desire to learn about how Clinical Effectiveness is reviewed in the NHS and develop their knowledge. The idea candidate would have the ability to work independently and have Level one literacy and Numeracy skills or equivalent. You will also have knowledge of Microsoft packages such as Excel and Word. The role is a great opportunity to learn about how Clinical Effectiveness activity is carried out within the NHS, and gain some experience in a Mental Health setting.

Main duties of the job

Following a period of comprehensive training and learning in our trust process, the main duties of the job will include:

- Updating the NICE guidance tracker up to date

- Coordinate NICE guideline relevance checks

- Invite staff to NICE review workshops

- Book staff onto trust-wide clinical audit training

- Send out certificates and resources post training

- Follow up on actions following CE group meeting

- Get involved in twitter and online CE activity where appropriate
