Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Advanced Nurse Practitioner within the Forensic Intensive Recovery Support Team (FIRST) in Secure Care and Offender Health. We are looking for someone who is passionate about working with both male and female patients in the community who require the support of Forensic services to manage their risk safely.

The post holder must be committed to continuous improvement of quality and safety within the service as you will be responsible for driving service development along with the leadership team in these areas.

We also want someone who is passionate about nursing. We want to see the growth of senior nursing roles within the team to guide and shape career development for nurses whilst at the same time strengthening the nursing offer within FIRST through research, teaching, and advanced practice.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will manage a small caseload of patients as well as provide guidance and leadership to the nursing team. They will also support the leadership team in achieving the strategic objectives of the organisation.

The post-holder will ideally have an ANP qualification or be working towards this, or evidence of advanced clinical skills/qualifications that are relevant to Community or Forensic settings.
