Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the appointment of a Management Accountant (Band 5) to join the BSMHFT team supporting the Corporate division. We are looking to recruit one dedicated and highly motivated individual who will support the Deputy Finance Manager in providing professional advice and support in all aspects of financial management and business planning. The post also carries study support for achieving a CCAB accounting qualification.

This is a management accounting role and much of your time will be spent working alongside budget holders. This is a fast-paced environment which offers a challenging and rewarding career. To apply for the role, you must demonstrate that you meet the education/ qualifications required in the person specification. To be appointed as a Band 5, candidates must also be able to demonstrate at interview that they meet all the competencies detailed in the Job Description/Person Specification.

Main duties of the job

At BSMHFT, we are reminded every day of how important life is. As a flexible working friendly organisation, we want to be sure that you can work in a way that is best for everyone concerned. In addition, although the role advertised may have home working indicated, we remain committed to supporting flexibility around workplace locations should this be desirable. If it works for the service, we will do our best to make it work for you.

As a Management Accountant your duties will be varied. There will be regular tasks that are required in order for the services to run smoothly, these include but are not limited to the tasks within the job spec.

However, given the nature of management accounts as a people-based side of finance, you will act as first port of call for budget holders and any queries they may have. This element of finance ensures the job remains dynamic and rewarding and begets a freshness to the role.
