Job summary
We are now looking to appoint a dynamic and talented Band 6 Community Psychiatric/Learning Disability Nurse within our Ladywood Home Treatment Team.
Ladywood HTT provides an intensive service to individuals aged 25 and above who are experiencing a crisis with their mental health. We work within an MDT and are a fast paced and busy team.You can expect to achieve / build upon skills of working in a pressured environment, responding and managing to crises and delivering short term interventions to an interesting and varied client group.The successful candidates should be highly motivated individuals with significant post qualification experience, patient centred in their approach to care and ideally have experience of working in an acute or community setting.Team members will be working a shift system over 7 days. The current shift pattern is 08:00-16:00 (Early), 13:00-21:00 (Late), 08:00-21:00 Long Day. and 20:30-08:30 (Night). Team members can also be expected to be rotated on above duties as and when required
Main duties of the job
To be responsible for the assessment, planning implementation and evaluation of the evidence based care required, including health promotion for a named service user/group.
Responsible for participating in the setting of quality standards, including the monitoring and reviewing in line with current clinical guidance practice and policy.
Responsible for ensuring the post holder understands and meets their professional role and responsibilities under the Care Programme Approach and current adult and child safeguarding legislation.
Responsible for ensuring that the requirements of the Mental Health Act 1983 and Code of practice are observed, adhered to and implemented.
Responsible for establishing therapeutic relationships with service users, and the implementation of evidence based therapeutic interventions with appropriate boundaries in accordance with Nursing and Midwifery Councils professional code of conduct.
