The Caring Minds Charity is the Charity of Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Foundation Trust (BSMHFT) and weare here to support the Trusts Vision of Improving Mental Health Wellbeingby providing funding that will enhance and add value to the service user and staff experience beyond what the NHS is able to provide. This may include equipment, specialised furniture, service user events, activities, carer's wellbeing activities, staff appreciation events and many more.
The Charity Events and Engagement Officer will play a key role in developing and delivering a new charity engagement/marketing plan to increase charity support, income and impact, this will go hand in hand with the delivery of the charity strategy and events programme.

In this role we want you to help tell the story of our charity; encouraging people to get involved and support our fundraising effort. We also want to build awareness of the charity with our own colleagues to increase the number of applications for funds; helping kind donations make a real difference to our Trust.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for maintaining effective communication with charity supporters utilising a variety of platforms and working closely with the Trust's communications team.The role will include the acknowledgement of all donations ensuring supporters are appropriately thanked for their support.The role will also provide administrative support for the caring minds charity and be responsible for the activities associated with the Caring Minds staff lottery, which included onboarding new players, administration of the process, lottery draws, promotion of winners and working with finance colleagues. Suggest and take a lead role in the development of event promotional materials.
Ensure that the most appropriate sponsorship mechanisms are in place to facilitate the most efficient collection of funds and Gift Aid.The post holder will need to manage sensitive data and understand data consent.The post holder will produce creative content for communications, both internally and externally, ensuring the charity is appealing to new supporters, keeping up with latest fundraising trends and providing a varied and inclusive experience.
The post holder will play an important role in the growth of the charity, actively supporting the aim of making the Caring Minds Charity the charity of choice for our colleagues, and the wider community.
