Are you rewarded by supporting people to make positive changes in their lives?

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motived Support, Time & Recovery (STR) worker to join the PROSPER Service. PROSPER is an Intensive Intervention & Risk Management Service (IIRMS) for high-risk adult men and women likely to exhibit the characteristics associated with a diagnosis of personality disorder. The service is a partnership between Birmingham & Solihull Mental Health Trust and The Probation Service and is a multidisciplinary team currently represented by psychology, probation, substance use, occupational therapy and art therapy. The service is part of the national Offender Personality Disorder (OPD) pathway and is a hub-and-spoke service with its hub in Birmingham and the spokes in the wider West Midlands region.

Main duties of the job

Working as a team player, you will need to be highly motivated, flexible and enthusiastic and work within a psychological framework to aid the recovery and risk management of service users returning to community settings from prisons or secure hospitals. The role will also involve working proactively with other professionals and services, such as GPs, substance use agencies, DWP, Housing providers, families & carers, friends and peer mentors to support recovery plans.
