Addictions programme: RMN, RGN Band 6
An exciting opportunity has arisen within Solihull Integrated Addiction Service (SIAS) to recruit one senior nurse. SIAS is an NHS-led partnership of four agencies (BSMHFT, Aquarius, Welcome and Changes UK) that provides care for both young people and adults who are experiencing problems with drugs, alcohol or gambling in the Solihull area.
The appointee will be expected to deliver a high-quality evidence-based service that both reduces harm and promotes and facilitates recovery. The appointee will manage a caseload of patients that have complex needs including past trauma. In conjunction with our Consultant (Dr. E Day) and our NMP's, services users that are receiving Opiate Substitution Treatment, and use alcohol problematically help assess their capacity for the drug and alcohol detoxification service, and have input to the physical health service. The job will provide plenty of variety, an opportunity to use high level clinical and leadership skills, and opportunities for continuing professional development,
If you are a competent individual capable of high quality clinical practice who has the leadership capability . You will be expected to provide professional advice and support to other agencies and members of the multidisciplinary team as appropriate to maximise the effectiveness of the service.

Main duties of the job
The role of Senior Recovery Nurse requires the post holder to demonstrate advanced knowledge In criminal justice. safeguarding or clinical Interventions I.e. counselling. You will be expected to take a lead In one of these areas and expected to enhance your skills In other areas In order to provide a clear Senior Recovery Nurse role within the team
- The post holder will take a lead in the development of an integrated working approach to the implementation of clinical services that enhance a recovery focused model across You will be expected to support colleagues to ensure best practice in relation to all aspects of interventions tailored to addictions.
The post will form a crucial part in developing clear pathways across community mental teams, hospitals and other providers to ensure that service users are at the heart of recovery and reintegration. This will involve collaboration with a wide range of service providers and organizations to maximize service user choice along their recovery journey.
- he post holder will work closely with the consultant and other lead nurses in the development of effective systems and processes to improve performance and outcomes in relation to clinical interventions provided within the service.
