Applications are invited to provide Consultant leadership within the well-established Central Assertive Outreach service in Birmingham with a caseload of 120 including acute inpatient episodes. Assertive Outreach teams provide intensive support to people who are suffering from a mental health problem and are at their most vulnerable. The service supports people who have historically avoided contact with mental health services by using a flexible and creative approach to engagement.

Main duties of the job
You will participate in an (approximately) 1 in 25 on call rota and you will be supported by an experienced multidisciplinary team, medical staff and secretary.
The post is subject to the annual job planning process as agreed under the consultant contract.
Contract is part-time 8PAs, however there is an optional 2 PAs available for those interested to provide consultant leadership for Forward House, 10 bedded Intensive Rehabilitation unit.
