Job summary
A full-time post of band 6 opportunity and a 9 months secondment has arisen within Sparks HTT
Sparks HTT provides an intensive service to individuals aged 25 and above who are experiencing a crisis with their mental health. We work within an MDT, a fast paced and busy team.
The successful candidate should be highly motivated individuals with significant post qualification experience, patient centered in their approach to care and ideally have experience of working in an acute or community setting.
You can expect to achieve or build upon your skills if you are already working in a pressured environment because you will be managing and responding to mental health crisis within a friendly team where learning new skill and career development is a must.
The team's focus is to be committed, safe and compassionate as we deliver short term interventions to our community and various client groups.
The current shift patterns are:
08:00-16:00 (Early)
13:00-21:00 (Late)
08:00-21:00 (Long Day)
20:30-08:30 (Night).
The successful candidate will be working a shift system over 7 days and would be expected to be rotated on above duties as and when required

Due to the nature of the role access to vehicle for work purposes is essential.
Main duties of the job
The role of a Band 6 CPN within home treatment is to coordinate and provide specialist acute crisis psychiatric interventions and expertise to service users in crisis 24 hrs per day 7 days per week 52 weeks per year within their own home / residence.
Provide a gate keeping service to the in-patient wards and community teams.
To facilitate early discharge where appropriate and provide an effective and viable alternative to hospital admission for clients in crisis by developing an individualised approach to the practical and functional needs of the service user.
To provide specialist crisis resolution support and advice to other agencies and members of the multidisciplinary team.
To act up in the absence of the team manager as appropriate.
To act as a role model and resource for junior/less experienced staff and students.
The role is dynamic and requires specialist assessment of risk.
