Band 6/7 Specialist Practitioner Therapist - Bipolar Service

Job summary

Do you have a core mental health profession and are interested in a role focussing on delivering psychological and psychosocial interventions for those with a diagnosis of Bipolar Disorder ? Would you like to develop your clinical skills within a small specialist multi disciplinary team? We have two full-time vacancies within the Bipolar Service . Postholders will assist us to improve access to psychological therapies for those with severe and enduring health conditions and develop specialist skills in an area where your input can make a real difference to both people's recovery and to the development and delivery of psychological therapies for a specific client group. You will deliver evidenced based psychological interventions ,primarily the Mood on Track programme (MoT), and support the Transformation of our Community Services . You will be supported to undertake training opportunities to develop their cognitive behavioural and family intervention skills for working with those with a diagnosis of Bipolar Disorder and Psychosis. The team and post holder will also contribute to national teaching and training programmes.

Based on relevant experience and training this post can either be offered at a Band 7 (for those with a masters level qualification ) or a Band 6 with the opportunity provided to undertake further training, successful completion would lead the opportunity to progress into a band 7 role.
