Main duties of the job

We are looking for a suitably experienced occupational therapist or nurse facilitator with relevant post qualification experience for this role (.5 wte).

The OAKS Programme (ICCR) is a busy service providing a comprehensive range of psychological and occupational therapy groups and workshops. The service works closely with Community Mental Health Teams and Personality Disorder Service Pathways based at Lyndon Clinic/Newington Resource Centres. The OAKS Programme offers a range of interventions: DBT informed, CBT, Compassionate Mind Training, Occupational Therapy focussed skills, psychoeducation groups and workshops. The role may also involve liaising and developing closer links with third sector organisations to help facilitate recovery.

We are a dynamic and forward thinking service where occupational therapists and psychological therapists are strongly placed to lead in service development and delivery across all elements of the care pathway. We have an established track record in service innovation and support a diverse range of clinical and academic interests. We have a well-developed CPD programme and have robust supervision and professional line management systems.

You should have extensive experience of working with people with complex mental health and behavioural needs. You should be familiar with the needs of a diverse BAME community and working in area of high socioeconomic deprivation. The post holder is expected to be involved in service evaluation.
