Job summary

We are looking to appoint a Band 5 staff nurse who is committed, positive, compassionate and enthusiastic about caring for inpatients and will function with in the role of Staff nurse on a Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). Caffra Suite is 10 bedded male unit.

Main duties of the job

We are looking to recruit dedicated and highly motivated individuals who are passionate about providing and maintaining our high-quality standards and compassionate care to male patients on a PICU Our service users often experience complex mental ill health and/or personality disorders with dual diagnosis and can often demonstrate challenging behaviour.

Caffra Suite provides specialist care for service users that often have complex mental health and social care needs and offers support in peoples recovery through holistic treatments, promoting social inclusion, self-management, personal autonomy and independence.

Successful applicants must be able to work in a challenging and dynamic environment and will need to demonstrate a range of skills including effective communication, empathy, self-awareness, and critical self-reflection skills.

You will receive regular supervision and training to support both your personal development and the services objectives; to enable you to deliver not only sound clinical practice but also to support the learning of others within and on placement to the team.
