Job summary
An exciting Opportunity has arisen to train as a High Intensity CBT Therapist and work within Birmingham Healthy Minds as part of the IAPT long-term expansion programme.
Coventry University will be conducting this Post Graduate Diploma High Intensity CBT therapist course with a combination of remote and face to face study. The clinical placement with Birmingham Healthy Minds will be based at one of our team bases in Birmingham. The cost of the course and salary funding is provided.
It is therefore important that all candidates firstly apply to Coventry University for their academic placement. Coventry University will then invite applicants to undertake an academic screening on the 12th October 2022.
NB* If there is no University application, then the application for BHM clinical placement cannot be processed.
Joint interviews will take place via MS Teams on the 2nd November 2022
The course will commence 16th January 2023.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for motivated and committed applicants who have an existing core profession or meet knowledge skills framework and wish to pursue a career as a High Intensity CBT Therapist with Birmingham Healthy Minds NHS IAPT service upon completion of their training.
The number of days required to meet the educational objectives and skills-based competences covered during the respective course are 3 days in clinical practice and 2 days spent within the university per week. This should allow the trainee to carry a caseload of 12 clients. Successful candidates should not be undertaking any other role or training whilst undertaking the course. Please consult national guidance for information concerning the contracts required for this workforce.
NB* The University is unable to accept anyone on the course who does not meet the essential criteria or have previously failed or not completed this course at any other university. This is a partnership arrangement with BHM service and Coventry University therefore interviews will be held jointly as indicated above. The course will commence 16th January 2023.
