Job summary
An exciting opportunity to work across TEDS and the Adult Eating Disorder Service . Helping to support the team with the implementation of FREED .
TEDS and Adult Eating Disorders Community Service in Solihull is currently expanding to enable delivery of FREED (First episode Rapid Early intervention for Eating Disorders)(see https://freedfromed.co.uk/), alongside their existing service.
Main duties of the job
The post holder has primary responsibility for ensuring its smooth and effective implementation. This will involve considerable liaison with Primary Care Services, education and promotion of a new treatment pathway. The post holder manages all referrals for this pathway in conjunction with other team members and offers initial triage, as well as providing a clinical service to people experiencing an eating disorder.
The post holder is based with the TEDS team but will sit across the wider Community Mental Health Service. The primary focus for the post holder is in working with clients accessing treatment through the FREED pathway, though the post holder will also contribute to, and is part of, the broader team and the broader team will also work and support the implementation of FREED across both the CYP and adult pathway.
In addition, the post holder is responsible for liaising and working with other professionals as appropriate, alongside the promotion and development in the service of the FREED approach.
You will lead with other senior colleagues the continuing development of a high-quality service that is underpinned by evidence based practice and care pathways / packages and NICE guidance and DH guidance; leading on service development and policy in conjunction with the other senior clinicians, and Service Lead.
