This is a fantastic opportunity to join the leadership team in Secure Care and Offender Health / Acute & Urgent Care at a time of exciting change. We pride ourselves on the transformation and improvements we are making as we boost mental health provision across the West Midlands.

The successful candidate will lead the transformation programme for the reprovision of our new Medium Secure hospital (Rubery) and a mental health hospital (Highcoft site, Erdington), acting as the key point of contact for all stakeholders involved with the project.

Main duties of the job

This is a pivotal role within the senior leadership team. You will lead 2 hospital projects and be responsible for helping drive service improvements and deliver high quality care through other transformational projects. You will support and influence the delivery of key national policies and strategic objectives. You will work across organisations and with key stakeholders to ensure equitable, inclusive implementation of the transformation agenda across the Secure Care & Offender Health pathway.

There is a potential requirement to provide support to related projects across the directorate if appropriate and the provision requires.

Birmingham & Solihull Mental Health Foundation Trust (BSMHFT) is one of the largest providers of Secure Care & Offender Health services in the country. Alongside of working for BSMHFT the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work within the Reach Out Model of Care. BSMHFT is the lead provider in this collaboration.
