Job summary
The One Lancashire and South Cumbria (LSC) Procurement team is seeking applications for a Procurement Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team during a period of transformation as we move toward becoming a single, integrated procurement department serving the NHS across Lancashire and South Cumbria as a shared service provider.

The role will involve engaging with colleagues and our customers across Lancashire and South Cumbria and soa willingnessto travel to varied locations and sites is a must.For the right candidate, there are opportunities to align base location to any of our main hub sites including Blackpool, Lancaster, Blackburn, Preston and across South Cumbria.

The focus will be on supporting customers to deliver value for money on projects while ensuring legal compliance. As a Senior Procurement Manager, you will:

- Good general standard of education including Mathematics and English Language - GCSE level Grade 4
- CIPS Professional qualification or substantial experience of working within a procurement environment at a senior level
- Continued professional development of Procurement and/or Business related courses including Basic Contract law, Public Procurement Regulations, Tendering, & Supplier Management
Desirable
- Supervisory/management qualification or equivalent
- Project management qualification or equivalent
Experience & Knowledge
Essential
- Previous Senior Buyer experience within a complex, multi-site procurement environment
- Working and detailed knowledge of Public Procurement Regulations
- Proven track record of managing, developing and leading staff within a fast moving environment
- Experience of working with a wide range of stakeholder groups
- Experience of working in a busy target driven environment to deliver demanding savings targets
Desirable
- Experience of working in other public and private sector organisations
- Experience in using online Tendering platforms such as Atamis
- Demonstrable successful project management experience with proven ability to deliver projects on-time and within a varied portfolio
