Job summary

The post holder's primary responsibility is to ensure One LSC achieve their financial targets and also to provide outstanding financial services to its partner organisations, to develop performance reporting arrangements and advise the Board on countering financial risk.

The post holder will work closely with Executives, Directors, Senior Management as well as representing One LSC with partner organisations and stakeholders. The post holder will play a critical role in shaping the long-term vision and financial strategies, ensuring the achievement of objectives and continuous performance improvement.

Main duties of the job

To achieve the ambitions placed upon One LSC, the position requires someone who will undertake the following duties:

  • Develop and execute the One LSC financial strategy.
  • Accountability for strategic oversight, decision making and financial performance across One LSC.
  • Contribute to the broader strategic and operational development across One LSC.
  • Provide financial advice at Board level.
  • Provide outstanding financial services to partner organisations, with accountability to Provider Directors of Finance, as the organisations' statutory officers, being through the MD for OneLSC and CSESC
  • Responsibility for compliance with required accounting standards, to ensure integrity of Annual Reports and Accounts to the satisfaction of external auditors
  • Management of communications with external stakeholders
  • Preparation of financial plans and budgets as well as management accounts.
