Job summary
The post holder will provide strategic and operational HR leadership, ensuring effective and efficient operational delivery of One LSC People services.
The post holder will be responsible for identifying and addressing areas of risk in relation to operational performance and will play a key role in the delivery of the One LSC performance framework, which will be used to support operational delivery of contractual, regulatory, quality, access and performance standards.
Please note that as this is a Director level role, the successful candidate will need to undergo full Fit and Proper Persons checks
Main duties of the job
As a key, strategic leader, some of the main responsibilities of the role include:
- Contribute to and participate in the development and promotion of the One LSC vision, aims and strategic objectives providing advice and information to the Executives and Directors on operational issues and mitigating actions
- To lead in the development, implementation and delivery of One LSC operational service standards, ensuring a focus is maintained on best practice.
- Proactive leadership in managing contractual arrangements for people services, and the underpinning relationships across Trusts
- Leading the team to ensure agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are achieved, along with redesigning processes when and where applicable to facilitate a continuous improvement approach.
- Transformational approach to adapting current status to future requirements
- Attend Board Meetings and present highly complex and multifactoral business cases and other papers as appropriate such that decisions to invest, divest and withdraw from services may be a consequence.
- To be accountable and responsible for the consistent provision of high-quality operational services at a corporate level, provided by One LSC, ensuring achievement of all performance standards throughout.
- Improve the operational efficiency of One LSC, benchmarking utilisation and productivity with peer groups to achieve upper quartile performance.
- Provide direct management, leadership, and support for People services
