Job summary

Applications are invited for the role of Senior Clinical Fellow in Obstetrics and Gynaecology to commence as soon as possible for a fixed term period of at least 6 months. The post is primarily based at Burnley General Hospital There is an on call commitment on the 2nd on call rota which has a 1 in 9 frequency, this is a full shift rota including blocks of nights.The Lancashire Womens & Newborn Centre is located on the Burnley General site and we provide satellite clinics across East Lancashire to ensure ease of access for the local population. We provide a full range of clinics in both obstetrics and gynaecology and all members of the team have a sub speciality interest. We have an outstanding reputation as a training unit.Candidates must have full registration with the GMC and meet all the necessary requirements of the person specification.

Main duties of the job

The post is based at Burnley General Hospital and the post holder will be required to take part in the on-call rota.General Obstetric & Gynaecology duties which will include antenatal clinics, Gynae clinics, assisting in obstetric/Gynae theatre lists and labour ward/ Maternal assessment unit duties.

You will also have the opportunity to attend special interest clinics
