Job summary
Welcome to the Ambulatory Emergency care unit, based at the Royal Blackburn Hospital. This is a service that has been developed to provide acute assessment diagnostics and treatment for patients. Using the principles of same day emergency care (SDEC). We support flow of patients through the hospital thereby improving the four hour standard and improving patient experience.
Our service SDEC is open everyday that takes referrals from ED/UCC, GP's and other multidisciplinary teams within primary and secondary care settings.
We are open Mon-Fri 07:00-23:00 and Sat/Sun 07:00-20:00
Main duties of the job
These duties are included in the Job description and specifications.
You will be required to provide nursing care and perform treatments as required. This area is a challenging and fast paced environment. Duties include triaging patients in high numbers. Providing treatments to facilitate a quicker discharge. Therefore it is essential that you have a good sense of humour, a desire to work hard and be part of a great team.
