Job summary
We are searching for an experienced midwife to work in our team to help us manage our placement circuit more effectively & to increase the support we offer to our students, apprentices, mentors & educators .
The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the provision of high quality multi-professional placements & education. Working primarily for learners within our family care division they will also be required to work across the organisation where interprofessional learning opportunities can be provided. This is a split role with the post holder working with both our medical & non-medical students & learners
The post holder will be an NMC registered professional & will work with and be supported by a team of experienced clinical educations & placement coordinators.
Main duties of the job
- Identify and develop new placement opportunities for medical & non-medical students & learners within the Trust by networking with clinical areas to explore all possible learning opportunities within the division.
- Support the DUE & PEF teams in the allocation of placements and clinical activity.
- Participate in the design, implementation, and evaluation of current or new programmes of education and training.
- Engage with the wider clinical workforce, working collaboratively across disciplines and professions through work-based learning, clinical support, education and training and clinical supervision.
- Assess the quality of placement learning environments; ensuring all service areas/ placement providers have up to ILOs and have a clear understand of the requirements of learners whilst on placement.
- Car owner & driver or access to vehicle for work purposes.
