Job summary

We are looking for Nurse Associates to join B8.

B8 is a general medical ward who is flexible and works with the needs of ELHT and our patients. We work closely with our medical assessment units and emergency ambulatory care unit. The aim of B8 is to receive admissions for patients who have gone through our pathways and work at fast paste to get patients medically fit to then support them wit safe, personal and effective discharges.

We have vacancy for Band 4 - Nursing Associate who value team working, are enthusiastic and have the desire and drive to ensure patients receive the right care at the right time that are compassionate and caring. Successful candidates would be expected to be proactive to provide excellent patient experience, and quality of nursing care.

In return , we can offer the right development and support from the ward manager, matron, clinical practice educators and a strong education Ethos. We are proud to have several course available to develop both your theoretical and practical knowledge and skills.

Posts are offered on a ull time and part time basis. The Post holder requires flexible working patterns to meet the needs of the service to include bank holidays, nights and weekends as required.

Main duties of the job

You will work with your own allocated HCA in a bay of no more than 7 patients . There will always be a Senior nurse on duty for support, Dr's available 8-5 to review. Pharmacy is also based on the Unit.

We require enthusiastic individuals with a can do attitude that have the ability to work within our friendly units and teams. You must also be committed to undertake ongoing in-service training and further development is essential. You should be motivated, keen to learn and ready to embrace change and service improvement.
