Are you looking for a career where your day is never the same twice, where you're cared about, and where there's opportunity for progression?

East Lancashire Hospitals Trust are looking for individuals who share our values, and want to give safe, personal, and effective care to local citizens.

We'd love to hear from you by applying online. Tell us about your experience of caring for others whether professionally, or family members. Have a look at the person specification and tell us how you meet the skills and have the experience we're looking for.

Successful applications will be invited to one of our recruitment events that will be held on Saturday 14th October and Saturday 21st October. These events are full day events where we'll get to know you, your values and where you might work best through a series of assessment based tasks and forums. We're aiming for the day to be fun and give you a chance to get to know what it's like to be part of the ELHT family and give you a chance to meet some current staff and volunteers to help you understand what your role is all about.

Care experience is not essential as we are happy to provide training to candidates with the right qualities.

Our staff are passionate and enthusiastic and pride themselves on the care we give to our patients and on strong teamwork ethos - we can't wait for you to join our team!

Main duties of the job

Our healthcare assistants play a vital role in meeting the physical, social, and emotional needs of patients. You'll work on wards and department with other clinical and non-clinical staff and be responsible for some clinical duties like taking patient observations, helping with nutrition, and being a friendly face offering warmth and reassurance to patients. You can read full details on job description.

We provide training and a full induction to help you be ready for the important role in looking after patients and offer ongoing training to keep your skills up to date and help you progress in your career.
