Job summary
The Improvement Hub has been established to take a leading role in working with the Clinical and Corporate Divisions to facilitate the delivery of the Trust's Improvement Priorities, contributing to the aims of the wider Pennine Lancashire Integrated Care Partnership.
The main purpose of this role is to provide senior leadership to both the Improvement Hub team as well as the organisation in the development, delivery and application of the Improvement Practice at ELHT (Improving Safe, Personal and Effective Care (SPE+)) and providing a significant contribution to the development of the annual improvement programme and playing a key role in the delivery of the 3 year improvement practice plan. The role will also continue to improve and drive the operational delivery of our dedication programmes of work, supporting an improvement measure and metric strategy as well as support the design and development of training programmes to support capacity and capability building of improvement skills across the organisation.
As part of the Pennine Lancashire Integrated Care Partnership (ICP) the postholder will work with a range of partners and patients to identify, lead and facilitate the co-production of improvements to deliver improved outcomes. The post holder will work together with the Associate Director of Improvement and Deputy Medical Director to ensure senior management support is provided across the Improvement Hub.
Main duties of the job
- Lead the planning and organisation of the Trust Improvement Programme.
- Oversee the operational delivery of the Improvement Programme and 3 year Improvement Practice Development Plan through overall management of the Improvement Hub team.
- Utilise Improvement Science and methodology within practice.
- Analyse, interpret and compare a range of highly complex sources of data or information.
- Utilise a range of research tools and methods to undertake and collate complex audit/anallysis relevant, and identify opportunity for future work.
- Utilise highly professional and specialist knowledge of the Improvement Practice (SPE+) combined with highly developed business management skills to ensure successful development and delivery, meeting agreed outcomes.
- Utilise high levels of interpersonal and communication skills including negotiation and diplomacy, to effectively overcome any resistance to change, creating opportunities to find acceptance and generation of positive outcomes.
- Develop positive relationships with the Executive Team, Clinical and Corporate Divisions and across the wider Pennine Lancashire ICP and Lancashire and South Cumbria ICS.
- Line management and support for the Improvement Hub team to develop their skills in relation to Improvement Science and working with teams.
